Aussie Fics Reviewed

Summary -
Living on the streets is hard for Bella Swan, but not as hard as putting up with Edward Cullen when he drags her into his lifestyle of sex, drugs and Rock and Roll. Will they be able to help each other before they kill eachother?

KiyaRaven’s The Screamers begins when Edward, a famous musician, takes refuge from a horde of screaming, hormonal fans in a filthy alleyway. Borrowing a dirty blanket from a very disgruntled Bella he manages to escape The Screamers and in turn, assists in Bella’s escape from life on the streets.

So begins the epic whirlwind tale of Asstard & PissGirl/Godzy and Giney, otherwise known as our beloved Edward & Bella. Throw in Edward’s perky sister/manager Alice, quiet and logical psychiatrist Jasper, and tough yet strangely philosophical life coach Emmett and you have the Cullen Clan. Rob Pattinson’s guest appearances as a dorky yet charming English actor a la ‘Real Life’ R-Pattz are especially brilliant.

Kiya’s sharp, dry sense of humour had me in fits of girlish giggles from the very first chapter. She is not afraid to delve into hard issues such as the homeless & their hardships and domestic violence & its effect on children. Not only does Kiya voice the negative sides of these issues through plot twists, but she also offers viable solutions, showing that she has done some research into them.

Overall, The Screamer is one of my favouriet fics and one I am like to read again and again with as much laughter as they very first read.

If you're looking for a fic that will give you your fill of fun, laugh out loud witty dialogue and angsty emotionm then The Screamers by Kiya Raven is a must read! The title takes its name from the moniker used for the fans that wait outside Edward's hotel room.

Edward is a world-famous rockstar recovering from addiction when he finds Bella, a homeless girl with a traumatic past. Instantly sensing something about her, he takes Bella in, introducing her to his somewhat heady & frenetic lifestyle. Their nicknames for each other (PissGirl & Asstard are just 2) will have you laughing your butt of and getting curious looks from people around you - especially when you find out what they call certain parts of their anatomy!! Kiya's writing will have you rolling the aisles with laughter, but as funny as this fic is, there are most definitely moments to fill your angst quota. The cameos from Mr R Pattinson are truly hysterical - I just LOVE when an author writes him into a fic, especially when he and Edward meet.

PissGirl & Asstard will have a special place reserved in your ficheart, and your ovaries won't be complaining either, because the lemons are ULTRAHAWT!!! Let's face it, for most readers, lemons are a huge part of the appeal of reading fan fiction.

KiyaRaven has written a fantastic story that will have you hooked from the first paragraph. You'll be laughing & sobbing hysterically in equal amounts. I guarantee that reading the epilogue will have you in tears, purely because you are sad to let these wonderful characters go - I know I was.

If you are looking for a laugh out loud funny  story that will have you clicking the next button to get to the next chapter, then The Screamers is it!
KiyaRaven has taken rather sensitive subject of homelessness, thrown in lots of humour, a Rock God, chemistry and a great story line and turned it into The Screamers.
I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with the cleverly named Asstard & Piss Girl aka Edward & Bella.
I’ve dubbed this Piss Girl + Asstard = Piss Ass Comedy at it’s best!
I really loved all the secondary characters, and you’ll find Jasper and Alice are a pair not to be reckoned with, especially in the sex Olympics!
Emmett, the master of serenity and fitness is hilarious with his man-crush on the extra juicy character of “Robert Pattinson”.  I really enjoyed the weaving of certain events that have happened in the media with Rob and how it appeared in the story.
I’ll guarantee you’ll be chuckling and cringing at this Humour/Romance.  If you don’t, then get the fuck out!  The beginning content and some throughout aren’t all roses and candy, but this is just such a fun story of good things happening to people who deserve them- but-not-in-a-romantic-happily-ever-after-make-you-sick-from-eating-too-much-sugar-kind-of-way!
Do yourself a favour and read this gem and leave the author some love along the way!
